The Islamabad High Court has granted protective bail to former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan in different cases involving £90 million settlement case, violation of section 144, and May 9 riots, reported 24NewsHD TV channel

The IHC approved Imran Khan’s protective bail in a 190 million pounds corruption case for three days and directed him to move to the relevant accountability court for further relief.

Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb heard the case. He told the PTI chief that he has three working days until June 5 to move to the trial court.

Hearing another plea filed by Imran Khan seeking bail in cases registered against him on section 144 violation, the Islamabad High Court accepted his protective bail for 10 days.

The court again directed him to consult the relevant court within 10 days.

The high court also granted protective bail to the PTI chairman for 10 days in cases registered against him after May 9 riots.

Police submitted details of six cases to the court registered against the former premier after violent incidents of May 9.

The Islamabad High Court directed Imran Khan to consult the concerned trial court in all cases.

The PTI chief’s lawyer told the court that his client does not want to go to F-8 Kuchehri due to security reasons.

The state prosecutor said that the F-8 Kuchehri is now being shifted to G-11.

IHC Justice Aurangzeb said no matter if the Kuchehri was shifted or not, the case proceedings would be held in the new complex.

Later, an accountability court in Islamabad has approved Imran Khan’s protective bail until June 19 in 190-million-pound Al-Qadir University corruption case.

AC Judge Muhammad Bashir heard PTI chief’s bail plea.

After attending the court, Imran Khan joined his wife who was waiting outside in a car and the couple left for Lahore.

 Bushra’s bail plea disposed of

Earlier, an accountability court in Islamabad on Wednesday disposed of bail plea of PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi in the Al Qadir Trust case.

Accountability Judge Muhammad Bashir heard the petition.

The court disposed of Imran’s wife bail petition on the grounds that no arrest warrants have been issued for Bushra Bibi.

The investigation officer told the court that the National Accountability Bureau does not seek her arrest in the case.

After the statement of the IO, the court declared Bushra Bibi’s plea ineffective and let her go.

After the disposal of the case, both Imran and Bushra departed to the Islamabad High Court where the PTI chairman has submitted his pleas seeking interim bail in the £190 million settlement case.

Earlier, Imran Khan and his spouse Bushra Bibi reached the accountability court in their vehicle. Other vehicles including in Imran’s squad were stopped at the first security gate of the court and only the PTI chairman’s SUV was allowed inside the court premises.

Reiterating his demand for elections, former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday said there was no other choice for the nation at this stage.

Likewise parleys were held when we were asked by the chief justice of Pakistan (CJP).”

Responding to a question that President Arif Alvi did not receive his calls, former premier said there was no truth in it.
