A delegation of students from the Institute of Administrative Sciences of Punjab University visited the Parliament House and Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) Headquarters on Tuesday.
Prof Dr Amir Saeed led the students to the visits of the Senate, National Assembly and Pemra.
The students were briefed on the functioning of the lower and upper houses of the parliament and the role of these institutions in running state affairs.
The visitors took rounds of various sections of the Parliament House and the staff concerned answered their questions.
During their visit to Pemra, the students were briefed about the role and working methods of the media regulatory authority.
The students were informed about the modern system of media monitoring and the importance of regulation laws.
Students also visited the monitoring cell. Prof Dr Amir thanked the Pemra chairman and authorities concerned for cooperation.
