Coordinator National Anti-Polio Program Dr Shahzad Baig resigned from his post due to personal reasons and illness, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
As per details, Dr Shehzad Baig’s resignation was not under any pressure.
This month, Dr Shehzad Baig is the only Pakistani to be included in the list of 100 world leaders.
Dr. Shehzad's name was published in Time magazine's list of world leaders of 2024.
Anti-Polio Campaign to Launch on June 3
Chief Anti-polio program Khizar Afzal in an important meeting announced that the anti-polio campaign will start on Monday, June 3, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
During the campaign, a total of 40,000 polio workers will participate and 64 lac children will be given polio drops in 6 districts.
In the meeting, presided over by the chief Anti-polio program Khizar Afzal, the officers of 6 districts gave a briefing regarding the polio measures whereas Khizar Afzal instructed district officers to improve the performance.
He also expressed anger over the negligence in the training of polio teams.
“This is the last chance to improve performance in the polio campaign”, warns Khizar Afzal.
