Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will start his two-day maiden visit to China from tomorrow, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
He is undertaking his sojourn on the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.
A high level delegation will accompany the prime minister.
This is the first visit of PM Shehbaz to China after taking reins of power in April this year.
The prime minister held a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Sept 16, 2022, in Uzbekistan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz is among those first leaders who are visiting China after the historic 20th National Congress meeting of the Communist Party of China in which President Xi was reelected as CPC General Secretary for the third time.
The premier’s visit represents the continuity of frequent leadership level exchanges between Pakistan and China.
During his visit, Shehbaz will meet with President Xi and hold delegation level talks with Premier Li Keqiang.
The two sides will review the all-weather strategic partnership and exchange views on regional and global developments.
The visit is also expected to advance the wide ranging bilateral cooperation agenda with the conclusion of a number of MoUs/agreements in diverse areas.
The PM visit will also accelerate the pace of the CPEC project. The 11th meeting of the CPEC Joint Cooperation Committee was held on Oct 27, 2022.
