The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leaders in Sindh have expressed gratitude to party members and supporters for giving a warm welcome to former premier Nawaz Sharif.
“I am grateful to the workers of every district in Sindh for visiting Lahore to welcome Nawaz Sharif,” Former governor Muhammad Zubair said while addressing a press conference on Monday.
He was flanked by other party leaders including Shah Muhammad Shah, Muhammad Zabi, Mirza Ishtiaq Baig and Khail Das. PML-F leader Jam Karam Ali announced joining the PML-N and Zubair welcomed him.
He said his party started electioneering and described the PML-N Lahore public meeting as a historic event in the political history of the country.
He added: “We are the only political party in Pakistan whose election campaign has started. The enthusiasm of the workers on the reception train was exemplary.
“I have not seen such a passion in my 11-year career. Our women also made the train march a success. Each and every one of us has a role to play. Love with Nawaz Sharif is behind bringing us all together.
“The Muslim League has created history, which is unprecedented in the past. The party had a bad time. We got through by unity."

He said his party would give him a tough time with the PPP in Sindh.
“We will give tough competition to PPP in Sindh in the upcoming elections.
“If the People's Party holds a meeting like Lahore, it will be laid on the red carpet for them”
Rallies from various regions of the country poured into Lahore to accord welcome to Nawaz from London where he stayed for four years.
