LHC overturns Punjab govt’s notification banning jobs

The Lahore High Court (LHC) suspended notification issued by Punjab government banning recruitment in government departments, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
Justice Asim Hafeez ordered removal of ban during hearing of petitions filed by Malik Imtiaz from Irrigation department and Punjab police Sub-Inspector Saeed Ahmad.
Inspector Saeed Ahmad challenged his transfer from In-charge Investigation Mailsi to Special Protection Unit.
Head Draftsman of Irrigation departments Malik Imtiaz Ahmad also sought suspension of his transfer orders.
Law Officer of Punjab government defended Punjab government notification for imposition of ban on employment in government offices but he failed to satisfy the court in this regard.
