At least six people including women and children died and 12 others injured in collision between passenger van and a car here on Tuesday, rescue sources said.

According to details, a passenger van and a car collided head-on at Jhang in district Muzaffargarh of southern Punjab.

As a result of accident six people including women and children were killed while 12 others were injured.

The bodies and injured were shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities.

The police impounded both vehicles and after registering a case into the incident started an investigation.
