Oil price protest: ‘Iqbal’s eagle’ makes chicken sound

PTI Senator Waleed Iqbal is caught making chicken sounds during a protest against an oil price hike in the Senate.

The PTI staged a countrywide protest against an unprecedented surge in oil prices, adding to public woes.

Footage shows Waleed Iqbal was making chicken sounds while standing by the other protesters shouting anti-government slogans in the upper house of the parliament.

Waleed Iqbal is the grandson of Allam Muhammad Iqbal – a distinguished poet, scholar, and philosopher who articulate the two-nation theory that led to the creation of Pakistan.

In his inspirational poetry, he described the youth as Shaheen (Eagle) to brave odds for flying high.

Ex-prime minister gave the call for a protest yesterday after the coalition government announced the increase in prices of petroleum products after surge in eelcticty tariffs.

Imran Khan-led such a protest in Buner of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Other parties too took to the streets against the government that has been blaming the last government for poor economic deals.
