The shocking news of the sudden death of the Australian spin wizard Shane Warne in Thailand has shocked the cricketers, fans and people from different walks of life. As soon as his death news got viral on media, many big names from his community started to pay homage and extend condolences over the death of the leg-spinner that inspired the whole generation.

Skipper of Pakistan national cricket team Babar Azam was shocked with the sudden death of iconic Australian cricket and tweeted: “Find it hard to believe. He said: “Such a devastating loss for the cricket world.”

Babar added that “He literally inspired generations with his magical leg spin. You'll forever be missed #ShaneWarne. My heart and prayers goes to his family, friends, and fans. #legend”.

Pakistan former fast bowler Shoaib Akthar, who is widely dubbed as “Rawalpindi Express” was shocked with the news and said: “Just heard the devastating news about legendary Shane Warne passing away”.

Akthar added that “No words to describe how shocked & sad I am. What a legend. What a man. What a cricketer”.

Legspinner Yasir Shah who had the opportunity in the past to learn many tips and tricks from the legendary Warne, also seemed to be speechless. As he said: “Sad day for Cricket.” Yasir said that “An iconic cricket player & mentor has left us.”

He said that “Deeply saddened by this news. Yasir further said that “My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and fans all around the world.”

Champion batter Shoaib Malik also extended his condolences over sudden death of Warne. He said “Shocked to hear the news of legendary #ShaneWarne passing away”.

Hassan Ali also acknowledged the cricketing services rendered by Warne. Hassan said that “Your contribution to cricket will always be remembered #ShaneWarne  (1969-2022)”.

Imran Nazir said “Can’t believe ShaneWarne is no more with us. RIP King of Spin.”

Ahmad Shahzad also got shock with news as he tweeted: “Absolutely shocking can’t believe this is really happening #ShaneWarne”.

The veteran of the game, Mohammad Hafeez also extended his condolences over the sudden death of Warne. Hafeez tweeted: “Extremely sad news RIP @ShaneWarne absolute legend of the game.”

He added “Sad day for all cricket fraternity”.

Shahid Afridi, who is widely dubbed as “Boom Boom Afridi” labelled Warne “the university of leg-spin”. He said: “The game of cricket has lost what I consider a university of leg-spin bowling today. I was inspired by his bowling from the start of my career and it was always a privilege to play against him.”

Afridi added “My deepest condolences are with Warne's family and loved ones. #ShaneWarne”.

Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar paid homage to Warne, as he tweeted: “Shocked, stunned & miserable. Will miss you Warnie.

Tendulkar tweeted: “There was never a dull moment with you around, on or off the field.”

Tendulkar said: “Will always treasure our on field duels & off field banter. You always had a special place for India & Indians had a special place for you. Gone too young!”

Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina said: “At loss of words to hear about the demise of our cricketing legend Shane Warne, he was always magical on the field.” Raina added “May peace be with you.”

He further said “My heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones. #ShaneWarne”

Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra tweeted: “Oh gosh. Unbelievable. Gone too soon. Way too soon.”

Chopra added “R.I.P., Legend. World of cricket will be poorer in your absence. #ShaneWarne”.

Gautam Gambhir tweeted “Very few can match their attitude with raw talent. #ShaneWarne made bowling look like magic! RIP”.

West Indian legend Brian Charles Lara reacted : “And speechless at the moment. I literally don’t know how to sum up this situation. My friend is gone!!We have lost one of the Greatest Sportsmen of all time!! My condolences goes out to his family. RIP Warnie!! You will be missed.”

West Indian legendary batter Chris Gayle said: “RIP LEGEND #ShaneWarne”.

Carlos Braithwaite said: Sometimes it’s difficult to remember people who you idolize are human . He added: “ It’s impossible to think they’ll leave us.”

Braithwaite added “Such a young age with so much more to give to our game. This is a big loss to the cricketing world. RIP Shane Warne”.

Sir Vivian Richards tweeted: Unbelievable. I am shocked to the core. This can't be true” Richards added “Rest In Peace, ShaneWarne.

He said “There are no words to describe what I feel right now. A huge loss for cricket.”

Legend of New Zealand cricket Brendon McCullum tweeted: Please no. heartbroken. Already miss “The King”.

Former English cricketer Matthew Hoggard said “Just heard about Shane ! Life is way too short ! And we have some tosser wasting countless lives with needless war. He added “Warney was a fierce competitor on the pitch but a fantastic bloke off it”. Hoggard said: “My heart goes out to everyone suffering loss of loved ones”.

Former England player Luke Wright tweeted: “Shocked and incredibly sad to hear that Shane Warne has passed away. It was a dream come true playing along side him for the @StarsBBL”.

Wright added: “Thoughts with his family RIP Shane”.

Former South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis tweeted: “He was one of the greatest competitors. He added: “Was always a pleasure and challenge playing against him.” He added “More importantly loved his kids endlessly. One of crickets’ greats. Rip Shane. You will be missed”

Former Australian cricketer Tom Moody tweeted: “No words can describe, Warnie was beyond the stars. A once in a lifetime entertainer, made our game magical.”

Adam Gilchrist dropped 12 broken heart emotions to express his condolences over sudden death of Warne.

Cricket Australia also paid a tribute to legendary Warne, as its official tweet read: “Unbelievable. Shane Warne has died, aged 52”.
