Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee Chairman Zaka Ashraf has lauded Fakhar Zaman's outstanding innings of 126 not out in Pakistan's victory over New Zealand in the ICC World Cup match in Bengaluru, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

In a telephone conversation with Fakhar Zaman, Mr Zaka Ashraf praised his exceptional performance.

In recognition of his stellar effort, the Chairman of the PCB Management Committee has announced a reward of PKR 1 million for Fakhar.

Smashing eight boundaries and 11 sixes — equalling former skipper Shahid Afridi's ODI record — Fakhar hit a blistering century — the fastest from any Pakistani in the World Cup — to score an unbeaten 81-ball 126 that helped Pakistan clinch the victory.

To laud and appreciate Fakhar's match-winning knock, Ashraf talked to the 33-year-old batter on the phone and expressed hope to see more such performances from him.

He also expressed his wish for Pakistan's success in the upcoming matches and announced the prize money for Fakhar.

Mr Zaka Ashraf extended his best wishes to Fakhar Zaman and the entire Pakistan team for their upcoming fixtures and expressed optimism about witnessing similar performances and success in the future.
