Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Shaikh, once hailed as one of the most cherished couples in the television world, took their marital vows in 2012. Regrettably, their relationship encountered challenges, resulting in their parting ways and ultimately culminating in a legal divorce decree in 2021.

Earlier, Sanjeeda Sheikh made a few remarks about her ex-husband, Aamir, while recalling her past.

In an interview with News18, Aamir Ali reacted to Sanjeeda Shaikh's recent interview, wherein she called him a demotivating partner.

Addressing the same, the actor mentioned that he and Sanjeeda have not been together for nearly five years now and he doesn't think that his ex-wife was talking about him. Aamir added that Sanjeeda must have gone through something like that after their separation and said:

“Not everything that she and I say about one another is about us. We have not been together for nearly five years now. She must have gone through something like that in that period, I guess.”

Speaking along the same lines, Aamir Ali added that he also went through a low phase during their separation, but he doesn’t believe in talking about them in public. Mentioning that his and Sanjeeda's story is old now, the actor said that he had never put anyone down. Aamir said:

“Ours is an old story now which is over. I know what I went through in that separation period and what happened to me. But washing dirty linen in public is not my class. I’ve never put anyone down and I never will, especially who I have shared a relationship with.”

When Sanjeeda Shaikh called Aamir Ali a demotivating partner

Earlier, in a conversation with Hauterrfly, Sanjeeda Shaikh opened up about her divorce from her ex-husband, Aamir Ali, and said that she feels very lucky for whatever happened with her.

The actress mentioned that there are some men who try to demotivate women, telling them that they can't do anything, and added that it’s better to be away from such people. However, Sanjeeda shared that there are good and bad phases in every relationship, and a woman has to take a call at her lowest.

It is pertinent to mention here that Sanjeeda Shaikh and Aamir Ali were once madly in love with one another and never failed to paint the town red with their mushy romance.

They welcomed a daughter, Ayra Ali, in 2018 through surrogacy. Two years later, they got separated and were granted divorce in 2021. Sanjeeda won their daughter's custody and started raising her single-handedly
