Two mortar shells were found in the village of Beja Pur in Narowal, prompting a swift response from local authorities, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.

According to the report, police arrived at the scene after residents called emergency services on 15.

The area was cordoned off, and the Bomb Disposal Squad was summoned to handle the situation.

Upon arrival, the Bomb Disposal Squad successfully defused both mortar shells and took them into their custody for further investigation.
