The federal government has appointed Rashid Mahmood Langrial as chairman of the Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR), 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

The Establishment Division issued the notification, stating that Rashid Mahmood Langrial of the Pakistan Administrative Services (PAS)  has been appointed FBR chairman.

The Grade 21 official had earlier been posted to the power division as a secretary. Former board chief Amjad Zubair applied for early retirement.
