Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former minister for Energy Omar Ayub on Monday said the 'imported government' is not releasing money to the power plants due to which people are suffering from load shedding, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Omar Ayub hit back at Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and went on to say that he (Khaqan) in a press conference today criticized the PTI government and its energy policy.
Omar Ayub said: "The new liquefied natural gas (LNG) contracts we have signed were 31 percent cheaper than the PML-N's government."
Omar Ayub claimed PTI deals will help Pakistan to save $3b in the next 10 years.
Omar Ayub went on to say this dysfunctional and incompetent government is based on assumptions only, adding that this government has more expenditures and less strategy.
Omar Ayub said expensive power projects cost the country dearly, adding that Pakistan has a shortage of 8800 MW of electricity.
He said there was no shortage or load shedding in the PTI's government, adding the 'imported government' has to hold itself accountable, adding that the coalition government has completely failed.
Omar Ayub said new elections are the solution to all the problems of the country.
