AIOU ranks 1st in Pakistan, 25th in global universities’ ranking

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has been ranked 25th among the universities of the world and 1st among the domestic universities in the global ranking of quality education, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

The Times Higher Education has ranked AIOU 1st among the public and private universities in Pakistan.

AIOU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Nasir Mahmood told 24NewsHD TV channel that the university had achieved the honour of being ranked 25th among 1,304 universities worldwide.

“AIOU is the only university of Pakistan that has been included in the first 25 universities of the world,” he said.

“AIOU remained 1st among 66 public and private universities in Pakistan,” he added.
