The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has demanded the resignation of Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.
According to a statement, the demand was made during a meeting of the PTI Parliamentary Party. They alleged Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani for violating the sanctity of the house.
The parliamentary committee strongly condemned the murderous attack on former prime minister Imran Khan in Wazirabad.
The meeting participants showed strong reservations about a delay in registering a case.
They stressed the FIR should be filed as per the request of the affected party so that the perpetrators of the gun attack on Imran Khan in Wazirabad could be brought to book
The moot stressed the four demands made by Imran Khan in the press conference should be met.
The meeting bemoaned the torture of Senator Azam Swati and rejected the special body formed by the coalition government to dig into the matter.
The former premier was shot and injured in an attack on his protest march last week. One of his supporters was killed in the shooting. The incident invited ire among the PTI supporters, who took to the streets.
