Court rejects Imran Khan's plea for weekly WhatsApp call with sons

The Anti-Terrorism Court in Rawalpindi has rejected the PTI founder's request to speak with his sons via WhatsApp once a week, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Monday.

According to the channel report, Judge Malik Ejaz Asif of the Anti-Terrorism Court heard the PTI founder Imran Khan's request for a weekly telephone call with his sons.

In response, the Adiala Jail administration submitted its reply in the court that according to the jail manual, there is no provision for prisoners to meet relatives via WhatsApp.

The jail administration also stated in its reply to the court that as per court orders, PTI founder Imran Khan is allowed to speak with his sons twice a month.

After getting the response from the Adiala Jail administration, Judge Malik Ejaz Asif of the Anti-Terrorism Court dismissed former Prime Minister Imran Khan's appeal.
