Veteran Pakistani actor Tauqeer Nasir appeared as a guest on the show ‘Zabardast’ hosted by Wasi Shah and revealed that Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan copied his work in one of his hit films without giving him due credit.

Tauqeer Nasir said that SRK has always appreciated his work and also several times sent his Salam and praise through different people.

Further, during the candid conversation in the show, he said that SRK’s character in the hit film ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’ was nearly fully copied from his role in his drama ‘Parwaaz’ while the scene of an injured leg depicted in the film was also borrowed from his portrayal in the drama.

The actor expressed disappointment over the lack of recognition for his own contributions.

Tauqeer asserted that Shah Rukh, and more importantly, the filmmaker Karan Johar, should have given him credit for this inspiration.

He also revealed that he was once offered a film in Bollywood where one of the heroines was none other than Madhuri Dixit. Things did not work out and due to political tensions he did not go there and he has since never wanted to do a Bollywood film.
