An inmate has been murdered in Adiala Jail allegedly by his rivals in connivance with the jail administration, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

A case of inmate's murder was registered against the jail administration and opponents at the Sadar Baruni police station.

The case was registered in the complaint of Shahid Nisar Bhatti, the father of the deceased Shahwaiz Bhatti.

According to text of the complaint, the victim inmate’s bail was approved by the court of Additional Sessions Judge Hakim Khan Bakhar yesterday.

A few days ago, the victim had an argument with Saim Abbas, another inmate of Adiala Jail Barrack 1, Room 2, text of the case said.

Last night, through telephone, it was informed that his son's condition was bad and he was in DHQ hospital, text of the case further said.

On reaching the hospital, he was told that his son has died and the body is in the mortuary, the text of the case revealed.

Father of the victim alleged that he strongly believes that the son has been killed by the jail administration in collaboration with the opponents.

In the meeting on July 4, the son had told that he was locked up in Kasuri cell and there was a danger to his life, he alleged.
