Exams for recruitment of addl session judges, civil judges to be held on Nov 27-28

Examination schedule for the recruitment of Additional Sessions Judges and Civil Judge-cum-Magistrates was announced on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The date sheet for the examination was announced after the approval of Lahore High Court Chief Justice.
According to date sheet, the written examination for the candidates to become Additional Sessions Judge will start from November 27.
The written examination for Civil Judge cum Magistrate candidates will start from November 28.
There will be 8 written papers for Additional Sessions Judge and 7 written papers for Civil Judge-cum-Magistrates.
Candidates must secure minimum 40 marks in each subject to pass.
On November 27 the first paper will be of Criminal Law (I) for Additional Session Judge Recruitment while second paper Criminal Law (II) to be held on November 29.
Written exam of Civil Law (I) for Additional Sessions Judge will be held on 1st December while exam for Civil Law (II) will be held on 4th of December.
The written test on Constitution and High Court Rules and Orders will be held on December 6.
English exam for Additional Session Judge will be held on December 8 and Urdu exam on December 11.
The last paper of General Knowledge for the recruitment of Additional Sessions Judge will be held on December 13.
The first paper for Civil Judge-cum-Magistrate will be of Civil Law (I) on November 28 while Civil Law (II) written exam will be held on November 30 and exam of Criminal Law will be held on December 2, General Law written exam will be held on December 5.
The last paper of General Knowledge for the recruitment of Civil Judge and Magistrate will be held on December 12.
The examination time for Civil Judges and Additional Sessions Judges will start from 9.00 AM to 12.00 PM
Lawyers with 2 years of legal practice are eligible to appear for Civil Judge-cum-Magistrate recruitment examination.
Advocates with 10 years of legal practice are eligible to appear for Additional Sessions Judge.
In both exams 3 percent quota is for disabled lawyers and 5 percent quota is for minorities.
