In a notable shift, gold prices in Pakistan have been increased in line with an increase in the international rate, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The local market observed a significant rise, with the price per tola reaching Rs241,300, marking an increase of Rs1,900 from the previous day.

The surge was also reflected in the 10-gram gold rate, which climbed to Rs206,876, up by Rs1,629, as reported by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

This increase comes after a period of stability on Monday when the gold price per tola held steady at Rs239,400 within the country.

The international rate of gold increased on Tuesday. As per APGJSA, the rate was set at $2,307 per ounce (with a premium of $20) after it gained $15 during the day.

Meanwhile, silver rates remained stable at Rs2,750 per tola.

Back in April, gold hit an all-time high of Rs252,200 per tola in the local market.
