Two ANF men among 3 killed in firing by drug dealers in Jhelum

Three persons including two Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) personnel were martyred as a result of firing by drug peddlers in Jhelum, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

According to police, the accused were going to Lahore from Rawalpindi when they were intercepted by the ANF personnel.

However, the bodies of the deceased were shifted to DHQ Hospital.

ANF seizes large consignment of drugs in Pasni

Meanwhile, ANF seized a large consignment of drugs hidden for smuggling abroad in Pasni Gwadar.

According to a report, issued from ANF Rawalpindi, the operation was carried out in the Chhor Bandar area adjacent to the Makran coastal line.

The operation was carried out keeping in mind the activities of a group involved in drug trafficking.

Liaqat Baloch and Wahid Baloch are the leaders of the said drug trafficking group.

Members of the gang are involved in drug smuggling abroad by sea.

On receiving the intelligence information, the ANF team conducted a raid in the said area.

Drugs, stored in a secret location were recovered during the raid.

During the operation, more than one ton of drugs and 51000 narcotic capsules were recovered.

The recovered drugs include 850 kg hashish and 164 kg ice.

The seized drugs were to be transported by sea to international markets.

However, raids are being conducted to arrest the leaders of the group, Liaqat Baloch and Wahid Baloch.

Interior Minister Naqvi expresses grief and sorrow

Interior and Anti-Narcotics Minister Mohsin Naqvi has expressed grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of two Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) personnel and a civilian due to the firing of drug dealers at Jhelum Tarkai Toll Plaza.

Federal Interior and Narcotics Control Minister Mohsin Naqvi also expressed his condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the families of the martyrs, including Head Constable Gulzar and Lance Naik Mazhar.

Minister of Interior and Anti-Narcotics Mohsin Naqvi prayed for raise the ranks of the martyrs and Sabr Jameel's prayer for the families.

In his message, the Interior Minister said we pay homage to the sacrifice of ANF personnel who were martyred in the operation against drug dealers.

Mohsin Naqvi said both the ANF personnel found martyrdom high.

They are our heroes who sacrificed their lives in the national mission to eradicate the scourge of drugs, said Mohsin Naqvi.

He said the elements involved in the incident will be brought to justice.

Mohsin Naqvi said that drug dealers are the enemy of our future and strong action will be taken against them.
