A suspect involved in the murder of a 9-year-old boy over ransom money in Qila Deedar Singh was killed in a police encounter on Sunday.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the suspect, Moazzam, was fatally injured when his accomplices opened fire as police were moving in to arrest them.
Moazzam, who had been severely wounded in the exchange, succumbed to his injuries.
Police were in the process of apprehending other suspects when the incident occurred.
