Police in Pakpattan on Thursday arrested a scoundrel who had subjected a deaf and dumb girl to rape, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

The girl was shifted to a hospital after her condition deteriorated.

After DPO Tariq Walayat took notice of the incident that took place at Chak Bhela in the jurisdiction of Saddar police station, police registered a case on the complaint of the girl’s father and arrested Usman.  

Briefing newsmen, the DPO said that the youth had fled after committing the heinous act, and he was traced with the help of the latest technology.  

The official also visited the hospital to inquire after the victim and assured her father that justice would be done in the case.
