Boy wins Rs100 bet, loses life in Karachi vinegar challenge

Despite winning the bet, an eleven-year-old boy in Karachi lost his life after he drank a bottle of vinegar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.  

Police said that Shah Muhammad, a resident of Gulshan-e-Maimar near Afghani camp, had a bet with a vendor that he would drink the bottle.

After winning the bet by drinking the bottle, he took Rs100 from the vendor and then bought a cold drink from him and drank it as well.

Later, he felt unconscious and was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead, the police said, adding the body had been shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for the post-mortem.

Police said they had taken the vendor into custody.
