Cotton price increases by Rs1,500 per 40kg

The price of cotton increased by Rs1,500 per 40 kilograms to Rs22,000 in the beginning of the ginning season in country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

Cotton Genres Forum Chairman Ehsan-ul-Haq says seven ginning factories are operational in different cities.

The production of new cotton also started with the new crop and a bullish trend also witnessed in the prices of cotton.

The new prices of phutti reached Rs10600 rupees per 40 kg, Ehsan-ul-Haq.
