CM Maryam meets Thalassemia patient boy, handover Rs5 lakh assistant cheque

Punjab CM sends 10 elderly women living in Darul-Aman to perform Hajj

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz met a thalassemia patient M Rizwan and handed him over a financial assistance cheque of Rs5 lakh, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

On his arrival, CM Maryam welcomed Muhammad Rizwan, spent time with him and inquired about his health.

While M Rizwan expressed his profound joy over meeting the CM. Rizwan said, “I do not believe that I am meeting the CM”.

On the occasion, CM Maryam promised to fulfil Rizwan’s wish for his own house. She also expressed her resolve to take care of other thalassemia children. CM Maryam Nawaz said, “The patients of thalassemia deserve special attention from society as patients undergo blood transfusion process which was highly painful.”

Earlier, CM Maryam Nawaz met the 10 elderly women living in Darul-Aman before sending them to perform Hajj.

On the occasion, CM requested them “to offer prayers for the security and prosperity of our beloved homeland, Pakistan”. On this occasion, PML-N chief Sharif also meets the elderly women.

On the order of CM Maryam Nawaz, arrangements were made to send these 10 elderly women living in Darul-Aman on Hajj, because they had requested the Chief Minister for the same during her visit to Aafiyat on Eid.

During their meeting, the elderly women expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and President Pakistan Muslim League-N Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for this great favour.

Senator Pervaiz  Rashid, Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Information & Culture Minister Azma Zahid Bukhari, Provincial Communications Minister Soheb Ahmed Malik, MPA Sania Ashiq and Special Assistant Rashid Nasrullah attended the meeting. Principal Secretary to CM Sajid Zafar Dal, Secretary Social Welfare and other relevant officers were also present.

Earlier, on the directives of Chief Minster Maryam Nawaz, financial aid worth Rs3 lakh was approved for the treatment of a renowned Punjabi poet Tajjamul Kaleem.

CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif prayed for an early recovery of Tajjamul Kaleem. A flower bouquet was presented to the Punjabi poet Tajjamul Kaleem on behalf of the CM. The ailing poet Tajjamul Kaleem thanked the Chief Minister on showing a kind gesture.

Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz in her message on World Environment Protection Day said the United Nations must join hands with member countries to control factors affecting natural environment.

CM said Punjab government has imposed a ban on the use, production, sale and trade of plastic from today. She said the use of plastic was having harmful effects on the environment and human health.

CM Maryam Nawaz said,"No to Plastic” campaign by Punjab government was aimed at reducing environmental pollution and promote environment-friendly initiatives. The CM said Punjab government has banned the use of plastic bags in hotels, restaurants and eateries.
