During the broad daylight robbery bid, one youth was killed and another got seriously injured in Gujranwala, however, the locals managed to apprehend a dacoit while his accomplice escaped from the scene, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to police, a dacoit gang stopped the motorcycle rider at gunpoint on Jinnah Road and demanded the valuables.

At resistance, the bandits opened fire on them. Resultantly, one youth died on the spot while another got injured.

Meanwhile, the locals reached the site and arrested one robber while the other escaped from the scene. The local severely thrashed the robber and later handed him over to the police.

Gujranwala police shifted the dead body and the injured youth to a nearby hospital and started further investigation against the robbers.
