A mentally-challenged man shot dead his father and two brothers and then turned the gun on himself at a house in Mardan on late Tuesday night, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The incident was reported from Khora Baanda area where the man also fired bullets on his mother who received serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital for treatment.

The injured mother later lodged a report with the local police, saying her son who opened fire was not mentally fit.

According to the FIR, mentally-disturbed 30-year-old Nehadullah opened firing on his father and brothers who were sleeping in the courtyard late Tuesday night.

As a result of the firing, 58-year-old Nasrullah, 33-year-old Abidullah and 26-year-old Faizullah died on the spot.

The killer then shot himself at the crime scene and also died.
