A man in Sadiqabad, Rahim Yar Khan has allegedly robbed the people of over Rs3 billion they had paid to him for stocking sugar and fled, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

Police, which have already taken Sheikh Rashid’s father and two brothers into custody, have written to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for an investigation, while cops have also been deployed at the stores and go downs owned by the suspect.

The victims of Rashid’s fraud have even tried to occupy the suspect’s brother’s home, but the attack was foiled.   

Before fleeing, the suspect released a video in which he said that he had suffered a loss of billions of rupees in the business and that he be given time to make up for that loss. 

He has also implored the people not to harass his father and brothers.
