Bad blood suspected as three people shot dead in Shikarpur

Three people were shot dead while another was injured when two rival armed groups clashed in Tehsil Garhi Yasin of Shikarpur District on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to police, the armed clash took place in Dakhan Nakay area of Garhi Yasin where, according to preliminary reports, unidentified armed men gunned down three people.

The indiscriminate firing also caused a stampede among the people standing there.

The bodies were shifted to a local hospital for medico-legal procedure.

The police suspected old enmity being run among rival Mehar and Maarfani communities.

The dead were identified as Asif Ali Marfani, Muhammad Ali and Saeed Ahmad.
