Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar has said negotiations will be held according to the law and the constitution, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.

Negotiations take place in the Parliament and not in Pindi, the federal minister said, adding that the May 9 perpetrators should be punished according to the law so that no one can attack state institutions again.

“The PTI received a response yesterday on its desire to negotiate with the Army chief and ISI DG instead of the government,” the law minister maintained.

He added: “Due to our judicial system, the decisions of the May 9 cases could not be delivered.

“In sensitive cases, the courts feel political pressure rather than going on the merits.

He continued: “In political cases, an atmosphere of pressure is created so that decisions cannot be made.

“The judges should not take political pressure. The judges should pass on judgments. Why are they reluctant?
