Senior Punjab Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said on Sunday that the governance of the PML-N-led coalition government at the Center and in Punjab had given a new ray of hope to the people and put the country on the right track, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In her message on the completion of 100 days of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in office, Marriyum, also a senior PML-N leader, said the occasion offered a comparison between what she said ‘historic’ service done to the masses by Maryam and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the conspiracies being hatched by PTI founder Imran Khan. “The more this good governance wins the hearts and minds of people, the more vitriolic Imran becomes,” she opined.

She claimed that there were signs of progress in every sector and inflation had come down too.

People should think, she said, as to why PTI founder got perturbed whenever there was progress in the country and people began to heave a sigh of relief.

Again referring to Imran, Punjab senior minister said it was unfortunate that the man who, through his policies when he was the prime minister, had rendered the youth jobless and who was responsible for unprecedented price hike, had again started hatching conspiracies.

“The price of bread which was previously Rs14 has come down to Rs12 during the last 100 days,” Marriyum said, adding, “Similarly, the government, instead of handing petrol bombs to youngsters, has handed them laptops instead.”

She claimed that during the period under review, Pakistan had emerged as the only country in Asia where a marked decrease in inflation had been witnessed. “Inflation has dropped by 17 per cent in the last 100 days of the PML-N governments both at the Center and in Punjab.”

The senior minister went on to say that not only the prices of flour and other items of daily use had dropped but the government had also provided relief to the masses in the health sector as now they had access to free medical treatment.
