Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui Sunday said there are no factions in MQM and whoever comes to join will be welcomed.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, he talked to the media after the MQM-P Rabita Committee meeting at Bahadurabad Markaz and said if anyone wants to join them, let's do it.
He said they are ready for local bodies elections as these polls will have no worth without the participation of the MQM.
He clarified that they were not direct allies of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) as they had an agreement on the affairs of Sindh with it which was based on a common but principle stand of both parties that the delimitations were against the principle.
And now it is the Prime Minister's responsibility to implement the agreement, Khalid said adding that PM Shehbaz should explain the matter by tomorrow. He urged PM Shehbaz to inform them personally or by sending his representative whether he is with them or not.
Khalid said it is the responsibility of the Sindh government and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) that the delimitations must be done before January 15 as the constituencies that have taken place early are a part of rigging before the election.
Earlier, the MQM-P convenor chaired the coordination committee meeting at the Bahadurabad Markaz in Karachi on Sunday afternoon.
The meeting expressed strong indignation regarding the behavior of the PPP on delimitations in Sindh.
A matter of the merger of different factions of the MQM was also discussed in the meeting and it has been decided that the merger will come to the knowledge of the Rabita Committee for formal approval.
It is also said in the MQM-P meeting that the PPP should decide whether it wants a good working relationship with MQM in the better interest of Sindh and the country or not.
