The registrar Election Appellate Tribunal on Monday objected and returned the appeal filed against the acceptance of nomination papers of former prime minister and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif for the National Assembly seat (NA-130), Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The appellant, Advocate Ishtiaq Ahmad, from the same constituency, was of the view that since the Supreme Court (SC) had declared the PML-N supremo disqualified for life, therefore he was not eligible to contest the election. “You are requested to please reject his nomination papers,” read the appeal.
