Karachi Police Chief has announced strict legal action against those involved in aerial firing on New Year, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Additional IG Khadim Hussain Rind also indicated to file cases against the persons involved in aerial firing incidents.
He also directed to make announcements of no aerial firing in all the mosques of the city.
A final plan was formulated given the law and order situation on New Year Night.

A case of attempted murder will be registered against those who fired in the air.
Additional IG Karachi Khadim Hussain Rand says that action will be taken against one-wheeling, rioters, while special arrangements have been made to ensure the flow of traffic, whereas the police have taken measures to avoid aerial firing announcements are being made from mosques.
The police further said that Clifton's coastline Seaview will not be closed.
One-way traffic will be operated on Seaview to maintain traffic while police and traffic police will be present on the roads to maintain law and order.
