A four-year-old minor girl fell victim to carnal desire of a teenager in Dera Din Panah area of Kot Addu on Sunday. The police have arrested the accused who confessed to the crime.

According to the Dera Din Panah Police, the minor was playing outside his home when the accused identified as Amir Bhutta took her to a deserted place where he raped.

The accused left the victim in critical condition after the crime and fled away. The minor was shifted to Dera Din Panah Hospital where she is being treated.

The police have registered a case against Amir Bhutta on the complaint of mother of the victim.

According SHO Asmatullah, the accused had fled away and was nicked from Sanawan area. The accused has confessed to his crime.

The SHO informed that the accused is a close relative of the victim.

The police officer claimed that initial medical examination of the victim confirmed the rape. The rapist, however, will be produced in a court on Monday with a request for his DNA, he added.

Crime against children, especially sexual assault, has become order of the day and dozens of cases are being reported from different areas of the country on a daily basis.
