Police arrest six persons in connection with rape of girl in Mirpurkhas

Police in Mirpurkhas on Friday arrested six persons, including the mother of a 13-year-old girl, who lost her life after she was gang-raped by five men in Mirpurkhas a few days ago, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

Making a startling revelation, the police said that during interrogation the girl’s mother confessed to have sold her child to five men for money, while the men, too, had confessed to their crime.

Taking notice of the incident, SSP Mirpurkhas Shabbir Ahmad Sathyar had ordered the registration of an FIR.

Later, he constituted a team, headed by CIA DSP Fazal Haq Chandio, and ordered the immediate arrest of the perpetrators of the crime.    

Acting on his directives, the police arrested the rapists, the facilitator as well as the rapists.

Those arrested were the victim’s mother Rani Kolhi, Hero Kolhi, Sonu Kolhi, Allah Dino Machi, Ramzan alias Rato Chanio and Bojho Kolhi.
