Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (PIAF) Chairman Mian Nauman Kabir on Wednesday greeted newly-elected office-bearers of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry and their landslide victory in the annual elections, hoping the new leadership would safeguard interests of the business community.

He said the LCCI body would continue to raise voice for the solution of the business community’s problems. He said that our all candidates, after the hot contest with rivals, clinched all seats, as our candidates were highly qualified, young and dedicated enjoying the highest degree of integrity.

He congratulated the newly-elected LCCI President Mian Tariq Misbah, Senior Vice President Nasir Hameed Khan and Vice-President Ch Tahir Manzoor, saying the PIAF-Founders Alliance victory with a thumping majority is an endorsement of the economic policies of the Alliance.

PIAF Chairman Mian Nauman Kabir said that the victory of the Alliance’s candidates is a victory of the entire business community that would help them get their issues resolved with new vigour and strength.

He said that the number of votes cast in favour of the PIAF-Founders Alliance is enough to prove that the business community has always been with the Alliance, adding this was the 18th consecutive and biggest victory by the PIAF-Founders Alliance. He paid rich tributes to the leadership of the Alliance for putting in their all energies to ensure a comfortable victory. He said that all efforts would be made to facilitate the members of LCCI for the smooth functioning of their businesses.

Mian Nauman Kabir said rivals could not find good candidates against high profile candidates. He urged the government to focus on arresting the downward graph of dwindling export on an urgent basis and provide a package of incentives to boost exports.

He said the top leadership of Alliance firmly believed in the rule of law, promotion and strengthening of democracy and upholding the glory of constitutions. He said all decisions were taken with the consensus in the interest of the business community and always all-out efforts were made to help address the genuine grievances being confronted by the traders.

He said the Alliance always focused on attaining economic prosperity of the country through advocating the just cause of the traders. The Alliance would continue to follow its agenda mainly aimed at accelerating the pace of economic activities and expedite the process of rapid industrialization in the country.
