Khyal-e-Nau, a social welfare organization of Pakistani youth united different religious communities in the historic Badshahi Mosque at Iftar.
The youth organization set a great example of religious harmony as Muslims of different sects, Hindus, Christians and Sikhs participated in the event.
Devotees of different Islamic sects after breaking the fast also offered prayer under the leadership of Chairman Ruyat Hilal Committee and Khatib Badshahi Masjid Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad.
Badshahi mosque's Khatib Maulana Azad paid a high tribute to the young organizers for their efforts in religious harmony in Pakistan.
According to the organization, the joint Iftar and prayer of different religious followers have been happening for the last seven years and the number of participants is increasing every year.
Hanin Zaidi, secretary of the Khyal-e-Nau, said that their seven years of efforts are bearing fruit and love is getting promoted.
Allahwale Trust Founder Shahid Lone said that they will continue to do such programs of harmony to make Pakistan a cradle of peace.
Young social leader and organizer Shahzad Roshan said that their (Islam and Pakistan) misrepresentation has become famous around the world while they are calling for peace and harmony.
The beauty of the event is that Hindus, Sikhs and Christians also participate in it and play a key role in spreading the message of peace, he concluded.
