Actress Nadia Afgan has expressed her desire to work with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

In reply to a question during a TV show, she revealed that she would gladly accept an Indian film offer.

Nadia said that she had received an offer for an Indian Punjabi film but could not make it to India due to personal commitments in Pakistan.

"Art has no boundaries or borders. I am an artist, and I accept good work from all over the world," she emphasised.

She told the audience about her friendship with Indian Punjabi film star Sonam Bajwa.

"Sonam is my favourite actress and a dear friend. She once recreated a scene from Suno Chanda, and I thanked her. That’s how we became friends. Indian artists have a lot of respect for Pakistani talent." she said.

Nadia Afghan began her acting career at PTV Lahore Centre, where she hosted talk shows and nighttime transmissions. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, she gained recognition for her comic roles in PTV sitcoms like Family Front, 1 2 3, and Hubahu. However, it was her portrayal of Mishi in Shashlik that brought her widespread fame.

Throughout the 2010s, Nadia expanded her repertoire beyond comedy in Bilqees Kaur, Shehr-e-Zaat, Dil Muhallay Ki Haveli, and Sannata. In 2016, she showcased her directorial skills with A&B Entertainment’s Shaam Dhaley. Her first major award recognition came in 2017, when she received a Hum Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.

The turning point in her career came in 2018 when she won widespread acclaim for her portrayal of Shahana Batool in Suno Chanda.  In 2021, she played a dutiful police officer in Parizaad while in 2022, she was widely praised for portraying the powerful head of a Saraiki clan in Abdullah Badini’s Dushman. That same year, following the success of Suno Chanda, she appeared in Saima Akram Chaudhry’s Kala Doriya, playing Tanno, a character reminiscent of Shahana Batool. Currently, she is receiving immense praise for her performances in Jafaa and Tan Man Neel o Neel.
