Lollywood Legend Reema Khan has shared pictures of attending a wedding in Washington.
Taking to Instagram, she shared a shot saying: "A wedding is not just a union of two souls but a beautiful beginning of forever. May love, laughter, and happiness fill our journey together Ameen."
Reema Khan has a big fan following base. She won praise for excellent performances in many hit films before settling in America.
Reema made her debut in 1990 with the film Bulandi. She starred in more than 200 films, becoming one of the leading actresses of her time.
In the mid-2000s, she transitioned into film direction and production. Her directorial debut, Koi Tujh Sa Kahan (2005), was a commercial success.
In 2011, Reema married Dr Tariq Shahab, a Pakistani-American cardiologist, and moved to the US. She occasionally appears in media and talk shows in Pakistan.
Recently she came to the spotlight after renowned Pakistani scriptwriter Nasir Adeeb made controversial remarks about her background. In an interview, Adeeb claimed that he and director Yunus Malik had scouted talent in Lahore's red-light area where they met a young girl he later identified as Reema Khan. He stated that he rejected her for a film role, believing she lacked the emotive eyes essential for an actor. These comments drew severe criticism, making Adeeb tender an apology on the same podcast. Reema Khan responded indirectly to the controversy.
