US, German Consul General Theriot, Lotz laud Baloch Culture Day

United States Consul General Karachi Nicole Theriot Thursday wished Balochistan on Baloch culture day saying that the contributions of the Baloch community to Pakistan's social, economic, and cultural fabric are truly remarkable, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Nicole Theriot, wishing the Baloch Culture day said that Pakistan and the United States are both shaped by their rich cultural heritages and the strengths of their diversities. The Baloch people and their culture add to the rich tapestry of Pakistan. She said that being the Consul General, she has learnt about Balochistan’s history, cultural traditions and landmarks and has concluded that it is a place of great resilience with diverse traditions, festivals, art and very rich storytelling traditions.

She said that the US Government is pleased to support many initiatives in Balochistan including flood support, University partnerships and many others. All these initiatives strengthen the ties between the people of both nations and help to promote and preserve Pakistan’s rich cultural traditions.
The German Consul General Karachi Rudiger Lotz, on the occasion of Baloch culture day, donned a traditional Balochi Shalwar Kameez and a Turban and wished everyone in the Balochi language.
