PTI-backed lawmaker Shahid Ahmad Khattak who won the election from NA-38 in Karak came to the National Assembly on Friday carrying a bunch of ‘lotas’, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The TV channel aired the footage of Shahid Khattak carrying four bright colourful lotas tied with a rope coming to the Assembly.
The PTI-backed MNA said he brought the “political icon” of turncoats with him to embarrass those MNAs who were declared winners on the basis of Form 47 during the darkness of the night.
While talking to the media men, Khattak said, “Lota lota hi hota hai, jab andar itney saray lotay bethy hue hain to in loton ka kya kasoor hai” (A turncoat is a turncoat, when so many turncoats are sitting inside why can’t I take some along).
He declared that more than half of the MNAs sitting inside the Assembly are ‘lotas’. “I brought only four lotas because they were not allowing me to bring more,” he stated, adding “We will not allow these ‘lotas’ to sit in the Assembly, we will bring our leader Imran Khan back.”
