Sindh government’s timely action saved Pakistan from becoming a new Wuhan, Italy or New York in terms of the destruction caused by the novel coronavirus in the aforementioned cities or countries, says Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
Presiding over a meeting of the party leaders from all provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir on Saturday, Bilawal said that Sindh government’s spirit of public service was being sabotaged through a conspiracy. He said the Sindh government was working in line with the guidelines of the World Health Organisation (WHO). He said that other provinces copied Sindh government’s actions to bring the situation created by the coronavirus under control.
Bilawal said the federal government did nothing for the labourers and doctors. He said the Sindh government was ready to render every sacrifice for the labourers and daily wage earners. He said the federal government did not provide any facilities to doctors and nurses.
Speaking on the occasion, PPP leaders informed the party chief about the measures taken by the provincial governments and said these measures were inadequate and people were worried due to the spread of coronavirus. Bilawal said it was federal government’s duty to help all the provinces.
