Spokeswoman for Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Marriyum Aurangzeb on Wednesday said that the party’s General Council meeting would be held under the chairmanship of former prime minister and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif at Raiwind on November 4, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
She further said that the party President Shehbaz Sharif and other senior leaders would also be present at the council’s meeting, which would be the first after the return of the PML-N supremo to Pakistan. “Shehbaz has given instructions for the huddle,” she said, and added, “The meeting has been convened to express solidarity with the Palestinian people, who are presently enduring atrocities at the hands of Israeli forces.”
Marriyum informed that the PML-N had already constituted its election cell as well as parliamentary boards. “In order to prepare the party’s manifesto, a committee has been formed with Senator Irfan Siddiqui as its head,” she said, and added, “The senator will then announce the names of other members of the committee.”
