The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore has summoned Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leaders Rana Sanaullah, Azhar Qayyum Nahra and Mudassar Qayyum Nahra on September 10 in the assets beyond income case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
Rana Sanaullah has been directed to appear on September 10 at 10 am while Azhar Qayyum Nahra and Mudassar Qayyum Nahra have been summoned by the NAB on September 11 at 11am.
The NAB Lahore Regional Board gave the approval to upgrade the ongoing inquiry into an investigation. It is pertinent to note that Rana Sanaullah has also appeared before the NAB and recorded his statement.
Meanwhile, the TV channel reported that former defence minister Khawaja Asif's difficulties have multiplied as another NAB case has been opened against him.
Sources maintained that NAB launched an investigation over complaints of suspicious transactions in rice exports abroad and sought business details about the licence of Khawaja Asif’s alleged company Tariq Mir & Company.
The sources said that the NAB had summoned all exporters who deal with Tariq Mir & Company including Muhammad Usman and Anwar-ur-Rehman on Wednesday.
