Sir Syed Express is set to resume its service from Karachi to Rawalpindi tonight at 9 PM, following a suspension due to flood-related damages, as per railway authorities.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the train, which will travel via Faisalabad, consists of 16 coaches, including one AC Sleeper, three AC Business, one AC Standard, and eight Economy coaches. A dining car is also part of the train's configuration.

Operated under a public-private partnership, the train offers several amenities, such as complimentary Wi-Fi, a reliable water supply, and enhanced cleanliness protocols.

A top-level company has been contracted to provide food services on board. Passengers can conveniently pay for tickets using mobile applications from the comfort of their homes.

The CEO of Pakistan Railways, Amir Baloch, stated that the Sir Syed Express is expected to generate approximately three billion rupees annually.

He also highlighted that the public-private partnership model would contribute to self-reliance and increase revenue for the railways. Additionally, there are plans to introduce ten more trains under similar partnerships next month.
