Expressing his strong displeasure over the state of cleanliness as well as the performance of police personnel deputed at Mozang and Civil Lines police stations of Lahore, Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday ordered the inspector general of police (IGP) Punjab to improve the situation at these stations within three days, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Provincial Minister for Information Amir Mir accompanied the chief minister on the occasion.

When the CM asked the people present there about their issues, they told him that most of the times no action was taken on their complaints. While a boy told him that a cop had received bribe from him.

On the order of the CM, the cop was arrested and the amount was also returned to the boy.

The chief minister also ordered departmental action against the policeman.

The chief minister also found out that the personnel manning the front desk were not cooperating with the complainants.

When he sought an explanation from them, they failed to give any satisfactory answer.

The CM also inquired from the people locked in the prison about their cases. He also checked the Roznamcha (daily register).
