All six colliers trapped in Shahrag mine die

At least six miners who were trapped inside a coalmine after it caved in following an explosion in the Shahrag area of Harnai district in Balochistan on Saturday died, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

A Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) rescue team and the district administration staff rushed to the coalmine after receiving the information and launched a rescue operation.

The bodies of three colliers were recovered from inside the mine after a seven-hour rescue operation while the bodies of other three are yet to be recovered.

The colliers whom bodies were recovered by the Balochistan Levies Force, have been identified as Najeeb, Rehman-ullah son of Munasib Khan and Bacha Khalid son of Muhammad Zaman.

However, three corpses of miners are still buried under the debris in the mine and the rescue operation to recover them is still under process.
